Twenty-Four Later . . . . Purdue 38 Iowa 36

Boilermaker place-kicker Spencer Evans drove home a twenty-five-yard field goal with eight seconds left in the game to give Purdue a 38-36 victory over 16th ranked Iowa Saturday afternoon at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Layfayette.

David Blough threw for 333 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions on the afternoon , the second of which set up the go-ahead touchdown for Iowa late in the game.

Aided by two Iowa holding penalties the Boiler defense got the ball back for Blough and company with 4:24 left in the game and proceeded to utilize the ground game and a costly Iowa pass-interference penalty to set up Evans’ game winning field goal.
